Low-Complexity Linear Diversity-Combining Detector for MIMO-OTFS

This paper presents a low complexity detector for multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems based on the recently proposed orthogonal time frequency space (OTFS) modulation. In detector, copies of transmitted symbol-vectors received through different diversity branches (propagation paths and receive antennas) are linearly combined using maximum ratio combining (MRC) technique to iteratively improve signal interference plus noise (SINR) at output combiner. To alleviate performance degradation due spatial correlation receiver antennas, we present sample-based method estimate such find optimized weights MRC from estimated matrix. The over linear minimum mean square error (LMMSE) message passing (MP) detectors in literature MIMO-OTFS.
